Sew Sewing Sewed Sewn

          Have you watched the television programme 'The Great British Sewing Bee'  in the BBC channel?  Sewing, a very painful experience.  When I was in secondary school, I picked up (actually it was appointed by teacher and compulsory then)  sewing class as an interest. I could not afford  a sewing machine, and I had to sew every project ( A-line skirt, shirt, trousers etc etc ) stitch by stitch. 真是被针扎到血流成河啦 。。。哈哈哈。。。好夸张!   I didn't understand about the pattern drafting,  I was told to draw like this and that... and don't ask 'why' 不要多嘴,叫你这样画,你就这样画,听到没!     呢个时候,真是懵懵的。Sotong lah!  Though I have improved now, I'd whisper in your ear that I'm not a good sewer. 
    
           Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you part of my sewing tools and a sewing machine!  The price tag on the french curve is still attached, it cost $1.10 from 大众百货.  大众百货was on the 2nd floor above NTUC Supermarket at Queentown, which has already gone into history liao!
ps.  My school days were not in Singapore,  so my experience is nothing related to any secondary school here nor MOE 不要自己对号入座哦!

Hong Kong Kitchen ( 香港小厨 ) @ Clementi Road

          A small restaurant locates next to the Kent Ridge Bus Terminal.  Though its name is Hong Kong Kitchen, it is a very PRC style restaurant. No service charge nor GST.

         The food we consumed were Poached Sliced Pork with Sichuan Peppercorn (水煮肉片),Fried Lamb with Cumin (孜然羊肉),Fried Indian Lettuce with Fermented Bean Curd (腐乳油麦菜),Crispy Bean Curd with Sichuan Pepper Salt (椒盐脆豆腐) & Fried Rice
